[Sticky Post]Your Prayer is Mo$t Needed

I felt very sad when I learned that Ms. Sarah of His Unfailing Love had a miscarriage.  The lost cause her so much pain but she keeps her faith and continue to trust His creator. Her unwavering faith is inspirational. Nevertheless, a short prayer for her quick  recovery, both emotionally and physically, will do her better. Let us also include her husband, Jonathan and their two kids in our prayer.

Sarah is very honest in sharing their needs and how God provided them just in time. Isn’t great if God will also use us as a channel of blessing to them?  For this reason,   I plead on kind hearts that we help her financially on her myoma operation. She needs around $1700 for the operation. You may directly send her your help through her  paypal account which is sarah26.aj@gmail.com.  Any amount you share will be of great help.

I really hope that God will touch your heart to help Sarah and her family raise the money for her operation. Remember, it is more blessed to give than to receive. May God return your kindness hundred folds :)

Two Days Paid Day-Off

Yes! You read it right :) Our project group were given two days paid day-off, Thursday and Friday. Our US-based client is so generous to give this rest days with pay. And in case you forgot, Monday is a national holiday. Meaning, I will have a very long weekend. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to have a vacation nowadays. Our budget is so tight. I will be using the day-offs to see an OB for some checkup and also request a schedule for pap smear. I also need to visit the mall to buy my daughter the things that she will be needing on Monday. OH I forgot to mention that my daughter was requested to be part of my churchmate’s wedding entourage as a flower girl. I don’t know yet if I will buy her a new pair of shoes because she might not like it and won’t wear at all! But if ever we have an extra budget, I will bring her to the mall to let her choose the shoes she likes to make sure that the shoes will not just be another display on our shoe rack.

My husband will be throwing-out a dinner to some of his closest Pastors tomorrow night to express his gratitude for their prayers for the result of the LET. Instead of a dinner-out (which is more expensive), he convinced them to have the dinner here at home. As if we can cook well and our house is big! Nyahhaha! Anyways, he decided to serve only the dishes which are very easy to prepare. Among the dishes he listed include kinilaw na tuna with grilled liempo, sinigang na hipon and grilled bangus. One of the pastors requested for fruit salad for dessert. I think the dishes are good enough for four men :) And I hope they will like the food :)

That all for now folks! Need to get some sleep! Just finished my tasks for my full-time job. See you!

Jogging at Quezon City Memorial Circle On A Monday

I’ve been to Quezon City Memorial Circle (QCMC) for several times but not to jog and much more, not on a Monday! Three of my church mates and I went to QCMC this morning to jog. Only one of us has a car so we volunteered her to pick us up :D . I set the alarm of my cellphone at 4:45 A.M. to make sure that I am already prepared before she pick me up. Unfortunately, my cellphone’s battery got drained and the alarm didn’t go off. When they knocked on our door, that was the only time I started dressing up! I didn’t bother to take a bath. I just brushed my teeth, washed my face and change my clothes! Whoa! The fastest preparation I ever made :D

We arrived at QCMC passed 6:00 A.M. We started with minor stretching for warm up and to avoid muscle pain after the jog. But I guess the warm up is not enough or we didn’t do it properly because my legs are aching waaaahhh! We only had three rounds and I am already tired and my legs were already aching specially near the ankle. I think I need a real running shoes. My rubber shoes is not appropriate for this activity. After three rounds, we already stopped jogging and just did some more stretching . And because we know only few stretching, we looked for someone to imitate! And we are blessed because few feet away, there is a Manong doing some stretching too! Without him knowing it, we imitated his movements and when he accidentally looked us, we just pretend that we were not looking at him :D .

We finally left QCMC at 7:30. We bought lugaw (congee) with egg near our place and just brought it to our house for our breakfast. I was too tired that I already felt sleepy :D . I just had a bowl of lugaw before I took a bath before I headed to office.

We agreed that we will jog again tomorrow. I don’t know if I can make it because my legs are still aching. And by the way (btw), the purpose of the jog is for me to lose some weight! My friends are very concern on my weight. They are slim but they still jog to accompany and encourage me to sweat the fats in me :D They are doing the sacrifices for me :D hahaha… I have a set of good friends, isn’t???

Dinner with High School Friends

I had a wonderful Sunday night. Aside from the wonderful worship service message I heard about possessing God’s promises, I had a dinner with my high school friends at Conti’s Trinoma. I was not able to take some pictures because it was an unplanned event and I was not able to bring my camera.

Okay, first thing first. Saturday evening, around 11 pm, an unregistered number is calling my phone. When I answered it, I heard an unexpected but familiar voice. I was really surprised and happy. It was my high school classmate and friend who is now based in US. She just came back last Friday and was asking if we could the next day with our other friend. I don’t usually go out on a Sunday because of church activities so I told her that I will just follow. They can meet earlier and will join them after our evening service. I realized that I missed her for the years that she was not here and I was excited to meet her again.

Last night, around 7:30 pm, after our evening worship service, I headed to Trinoma. I can’t convinced my husband to go with me so I have no choice but to leave my daughter with him and meet my friends alone. According to him, he was shy to meet my friends. Although, I want my friends to see him and our daughter, I didn’t obliged him to go with me. I respect his decision.

Because of traffic, the supposedly ten-minute travel became an hour. Hay… I was already excited that I kept on moving on my seat, lol! The cab driver might be thinking that I was having a diarrhea.

Finally, I met my long-time-no-see friends. Actually, it was not only my balikbayan friend that I seldom see, but also my other friends because I really seldom go out. We were only four last night. There was one who could not make because she brought home some work and need to finish them. But nonetheless, the dinner turned-out great. We get updated on each other’s lives and it is wonderful to know that all of them are doing good. Although, my balikbayan friend experienced some family-related problems on her first few years in US, it is good to know that she is now OK The other two is also doing great on their own field. It is good to know that now, I have a friend who is a doctor, a bank officer, and a nurse. Our alma mater, Quezon City Scienc e High School, played a big part on our careers now. I wonder about our other classmates and batchmates. How are they after fourteen years?

Aside from the great chit-chat, we also had a great dinner. The food served in Conti’s were great. It was my first time there. I order the Chicken Roulade and I was very satisfied with it. We also order Mango Salad and Cheese Pop for appetizer and Mango Bravo for dessert. I was really full when we decided say goodbye. We planned to meet again before our balikbayan friend return to US.
