Non-Working Holiday On May 3, 2010

Why? Because the observance of Labor Day is moved on Monday, May 3, 2010.

I mentioned on this post that May 1 is usually a holiday if it falls on a weekday. In this year’s case, May 1 is Saturday so I don’t expect to have an extra  day off  for this holiday. But because of the generosity of the government with holidays and the current holiday economic policy, the celebration of Labor Day is moved to May 3, 2010, Monday next week. This means that Monday will be a non-working holiday! Another long weekend coming!!! Hurray for laborers like me!

Good thing they have moved it but I think my hubby is already on a long holiday. Nag absent na naman sa work because of being so drank. :(

That is sad mommy… I hope your husband gets to his senses that he is a family man and his kids are looking to him as an example. Buti na lang hindi siya natatanggal sa work no?

Always nice to have a day off. Even nicer when it means a three day weekend. Enjoy.

I agree. But too much holidays also negative effects on daily wagers and small companies.
