My first horse ride experience was uncomfortable and a little frightening. I was only nine years when I first rode on a horse. This was also my first time to visit my father’s home province. There were only three options going to their town proper. The first and fastest was riding on a horse. Second, was riding on a carabao and the last was using my bare feet. Since I was only a child then and my aunt was worried that I won’t be able to make it if I just walk, I was told to back ride on the horse.
Unlike my brother who enjoyed the ride, I was so afraid and very uncomfortable whenever the horse moved. When I thought I would already die of fear because the road was rough and going down, I plead that I would just walk. As expected, my plea included tears. Good that my tears persuaded my aunt. But I was nagged while walking because my slow steps delayed our travel. I ignored the nag and forced myself to bear the long walk rather than riding the horse again. From then on, I never tried to ride on a horse again, even when we went to Baguio where horse back riding is popular. My horse back ride experience would probably be different if the horse had horse tack.
As I shared with you in this post, my daughter will play the role of a flower girl. The wedding was held last Monday, October 30, 2009 at the clubhouse of Ocean Pacific Place Village in Dasmariñas Cavite. From Manila to the venue, took us around two hours in moderate driving and without traffic.
The wedding went well except that my daughter no longer want to walk. She wanted to be held on my arms and almost fell asleep on my shoulder even before the wedding started. I couldn’t blame her because she was probably tired when the wedding finally started. The 3:00 pm schedule actually started at 5:00 pm. When the baskets for the flower girls were distributed, she finally agreed to stand on her own. I prayed that she at least finish the march before finally calling it a day. She marched but didn’t let go of my hand 
So I marched with her. I have never been a flower girl in my entire life. Maybe my daughter guessed that so she allowed me to experience it as well. LOL!
Anyway, we tried to take some pictures of her before the wedding though she do not want to face the camera.
I mentioned in this post that my daughter was requested to be one of the flower girls on my churchmate’s wedding tomorrow (yeah I know, I supposed to be taking my beauty rest now ). I am already hesitant to allow Sciezka join the entourage because the gowns for the flower girls are not yet available until yesterday. I am afraid that Sciezka may not like the gown and I have no more time to brainwash(:D) her to wear it.At her age, my daughter has already her own preference on her clothes. If she don’t like the clothe that I want her to wear, you would hear her say “No Mommy, Panget!!!” and will refuse to wear it. I need to convince her more that the shirt or dress is pretty on her. Sigh! There is no argument if the clothe is pink, or with Dora and Boots prints. She will wear without hesitation.
We only received the gown this morning, Good thing, my daughter liked the gown. When her father, who is too excited to see her daughter in gown, ask her to try the gown, my daughter immediately take off her shirt and allow us to put the gown on her. We tried to take some photos but she don’t want us to take her pictures. Grrrhh! And when the trial is over, she no longer want to take off the gown!
Although, I am not sure if we will be attending the wedding tomorrow, I still bought her stockings. I tried to look for a set of gloves that will fit her hands. But the smallest available is still too big for her.
I really hope that everything will turn out okay tomorrow. I wish I still have a digital camera so I can capture my daughter’s first experience to be a flower girl. I will still bring my defective camera, hoping that it will still work. If not, I will just request those who has a camera to take some photos of my little princess.
