A Colorful Dinner

I literally had a colorful dinner; green, red, orange and a shade of yellow because I had a veggie salad for dinner. Daughter even eat few pieces with me :)

VeggieSaladplease forgive the resolution of the images for they were only taken using a phone camera

As  I mentioned on my previous post, I joined our company’s biggest loser contest and badly needed to shred ample amount of fats off my body. Since Monday, I tried my best not to eat rice during dinner.  I also tried my best to drink lots of water which helps me feel full everytime.  I will try to follow Mommy Sam’s advice to limit the intake of rice. I also learned that cold water speed ups metabolism especially if taken in the morning.

I do not intend to win on the contest but I intend to lose significant kilos for my own good.

Two Days Paid Day-Off

Yes! You read it right :) Our project group were given two days paid day-off, Thursday and Friday. Our US-based client is so generous to give this rest days with pay. And in case you forgot, Monday is a national holiday. Meaning, I will have a very long weekend. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to have a vacation nowadays. Our budget is so tight. I will be using the day-offs to see an OB for some checkup and also request a schedule for pap smear. I also need to visit the mall to buy my daughter the things that she will be needing on Monday. OH I forgot to mention that my daughter was requested to be part of my churchmate’s wedding entourage as a flower girl. I don’t know yet if I will buy her a new pair of shoes because she might not like it and won’t wear at all! But if ever we have an extra budget, I will bring her to the mall to let her choose the shoes she likes to make sure that the shoes will not just be another display on our shoe rack.

My husband will be throwing-out a dinner to some of his closest Pastors tomorrow night to express his gratitude for their prayers for the result of the LET. Instead of a dinner-out (which is more expensive), he convinced them to have the dinner here at home. As if we can cook well and our house is big! Nyahhaha! Anyways, he decided to serve only the dishes which are very easy to prepare. Among the dishes he listed include kinilaw na tuna with grilled liempo, sinigang na hipon and grilled bangus. One of the pastors requested for fruit salad for dessert. I think the dishes are good enough for four men :) And I hope they will like the food :)

That all for now folks! Need to get some sleep! Just finished my tasks for my full-time job. See you!
